University of North Carolina – Junior Golf Camp – Overnight

Join the Tar Heel Junior Golf Camps at University of North Carolina for a premier junior golf camp experience.  Camp dates June 12-16, 2022.  Staff includes: UNC head womens golf coach, Aimee Neff, UNC head mens golf coach, Andrew DiBitetto, assistant coach Emily Loftin and assistant coach, Matt Clark.

Junior golfers, ages 11-18, work to develop strong fundamentals, practice habits, and course strategies.  Campers receive individual instruction from varsity coaches, video instruction, complete on-course playing assignments, perform practice drills, learn about junior tournament schedules and college recruiting, participate in an 18-hole camp tournament, and more.  Each participant graduates with a personalized plan for continued improvement at the end of camp.

All camps are held at the home of the Tar Heels, the UNC Finley Golf Course. Designed by Tom Fazio, Finley is one of the finest college golf courses (top ten ranking) and hosted a 2015 NCAA Men’s Regional. Practice sessions take place at the UNC Chapman Golf Center, which includes a private driving range, short game green and a large putting green.

What To Bring:
→ Golf Clubs in a Lightweight Bag (Pull/Push Carts are allowed.)
→ Glove, Hat, Tees & Balls
→ Spikeless Shoes
→ Golf Attire For Each Day
→ Toiletries, Alarm Clock, Sunscreen
→ If you have rain gear, please bring it just in case.

Tentative Itinerary (Subject To Change Based on Weather or Logistics)
*All instruction will take place at UNC Finley Golf Course
June 12th check in will be from 12:00pm to 2:00pm.  On June 16th, awards and pick up will be at 12:00pm.

Campers and parents will be responsible for arranging their own travel.  The camp is open to any/all entrants limited only by number, age, grade level or gender.

  • 6:30-8:00pm On-Course Competitions
  • 8:30-9:30pm Evening activity
  • 10:30pm Lights out

LODGING & MEALS

Overnight campers will stay in the Marriott Courtyard Chapel Hill next to the Friday Center on the UNC Campus with meals catered and provided at a variety of locations throughout Chapel Hill. Campers will be housed two to a room in Double Queen Rooms.  Roommate request are available otherwise campers will be paired with other campers of the same age.

TRANSPORTATION

*Overnight campers flying to golf camp should fly into Raleigh-Durham Airport.  The UNC golf staff can provide transportation to and from the RDU Airport.  Please book flights to arrive by 2:00pm of the first day of camp and return flight after 4:00pm on the last day of camp.  To arrange for pickup from RDU airport please contact, UNC Assistant Coach, Matt Clark to make arrangements.

SAFETY & SUPERVISION

The staff stays on the same floor (adjacent rooms) with the campers and participates in evening activities. Drugs, alcohol and tobacco are strictly prohibited, and constitute, along with general misconduct, grounds for dismissal from camp without a refund.

INFORMATION PACKET

A detailed camper information packet containing check in location, health/release forms, emergency contact info, and a list of things to bring will be emailed to all registered campers in the spring.

This camp is open to any and all entrants and is limited only by number, age, grade level, and/or gender.
