CGC Women’s Coach of the Week – Emily Marron, University of Central Florida

Head Golf Coach, Emily Marron, University of Central Florida is our CGC Women’s Coach of the Week. Coach Emily took over the program in 2012. She has worked several CGC events. Her instruction interaction with campers is extremely beneficial to their development.

The Knights start the season by hosting the UCF Challenge in Orlando, Florida. They currently rank 23rd in the Golfweek rankings. Coach Emily’s roster includes players from Belguim, Canada, Florida, Massachusetts, Japan, Puerto Rico, Trinidad and Tobago and Colombia.

Penn State

What is your greatest achievement?

I’ve been recognized with a few “coaches” awards , won some college tournaments, but truly my greatest achievement will always be being able to impact people’s live and give them opportunities to live their dreams out! nature . I look for good values, people who know how to treat others with respect and kindness.

What is your proudest moment as a coach?

Watching my team win back-to-back tournaments last year (2014) Fun Stuff !

Selfishness

Humbleness
What is your greatest fear?

Snakes!!!
What is your favorite place to eat on the road?

Anything Italian and I’m happy!!

Best advice you received as a junior golfer?

My high school coach would Best always tell us ” Just Hit it!” Simple but Good Advice smile

If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?

I am who I am… And I’m ok with that!
What is your greatest regret?

No regrets. You learn from every experience throughout life and grow from it!
Favorite colors?

Of course Black and Gold! Go Knights!

What is your motto?

“I’m coaching people who happen to play golf!” I adopted this from the great coach Linda Voldstadt!!
